The ZyXEL AG-225H is the ultimate tool for the road warrior. It combines a 802.11a/b/g

USB 2.0 adapter with a fully functional stand-alone hotspot detector in a sleek device

small enough to ﬁt into any pocket.

Hotspot Finder

The ZyXEL AG-225H makes it easy to ﬁnd a wireless hotspot when you are on the road.

The dual-band tri-mode USB adapter is equipped with a high contrast LCD screen and

built-in LiON battery, allowing you to scan the environment for hotspots without needing to

be attached to your notebook computer. The LiON battery allows you to perform

hundreds of scans, while the tri-mode nature of the AG-225H ensures you will ﬁnd all

hotspots, whether 802.11b, 802.11g, or 802.11a based.

ZyXEL’s AG-225H supports graphical LCD display with readable and complete site survey

information, such as Signal Strength, Security and encryption, Operation Channel, Radio

Band and SSID. Users can scroll through all found hotspots to view information such as

SSID, encryption requirements, signal strength, band used, and channels used.

Dual-Band Wireless Client

Due to the dual-band tri-mode nature of the AG-225H, you can easily add support for

802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g wireless networking standards to your existing

computer or laptop. Support for World Wide Radio (WWR) ensures no matter what

country your are in, you will be able to interoperate with the local Wi-Fi networks. In

dual-band environments, intelligent software constantly monitors the wireless connection

and will change bands to avoid interference and maintain high throughput levels.

Enhanced Wireless Security

In addition to the basic 64/128-bit WEP encryption, ZyXEL wireless network adapter

features the latest, enhanced wireless security mechanisms to protect your network with

802.1x authentication and Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) and WPA2. These enhanced

security functions only allow authorized users to access the network and thus further

protect your data from being tapped during wireless transmission.

Turn Your Laptop Into a Access Point

Not only does the AG-225H act as a hotspot ﬁnder and a client adapter, it can also turn

your computer in an instant wireless access point. Perfect for conference rooms,

meeting rooms, and hotels where you have 1 wired network connection, but multiple

computer users. Simply plug your computer into the Ethernet port, and your AG-225H

into your computer, and no everyone can share that network connection wirelessly.
