others, but a specialized print server can also play the same role without a dedicated computer.

Central Printer

The small-footprint ZyXEL NPS-520 print

server is a bridge between a USB printer

and a LAN to transform the printer into

a central network service. Be it an ofﬁ ce

notebook or a private PC, everyone

can operate the printer directly. With

ZyXEL NPS-520 deployed, a functionally

advanced or higher priced printer

Scanner Functions

images can be sent to the PC via

Microsoft utility, and the printer status

information can be displayed on the

directional communications, while other

print servers offer only one-direction

transmission to the printer.
