NBG410W3G Support Note

Deploy 3G network as backup WAN in a wired environment

Scenario Topology

In this scenario, we present that 3G wireless of NBG410W3G series broadband router as backup WAN

link while users have deployed their main wired WAN connection to internet. Additionally, end users can

use their Wi-Fi network to access WLAN provided by NBG410W3G series broadband routers.

Configuration procedure

Since this scenario can be applied in NBG410W3G series broadband routers, the only difference is in 3G

wireless card. As for the installation of 3G wireless in NBG412W3G, please refer to the chapter “Utilize

3G network as major WAN for accessing Internet.”

The following procedure also can be applied in NBG412W3G router.

Configuring steps:

 Check status of WAN1 and WAN2

 Configure WAN1 setting

 Configure WAN2, 3G wireless network, parameters

 Test WAN1 connection

 Test WAN2 connection once WAN1 is disconnected
