IES-5005
4U Next-Generation Multi-service IP DSLAM
4U in height, the IES-5005 is a high port density IP
DSLAM with Gigabit backplane which uses the same
MSC and line cards as the IES-5000. Each IES-5005
provides one slide-in slot for MSC card and 4
additional slots for any combination of supported
DSL line cards. Two power input modules are
provided for power redundancy. The port capacity
can be up to 192 ports per chassis.
The IP DSLAM family is manageable by telnet, local
console port, or SNMP. ZyXEL offers a powerful user
friendly, NeAtlas Access EMS, which behaves as a
SNMP Manger to perform fault, security,
performance and configuration management. The
NetAtlas Access is designed to allow several
concurrent administrators to simultaneously
manage hundreds of IP DSLAM. In order to satisfy
customer's cost and performance requirements, the
NetAtlas NetAtlas Access EMS available for two OS
platforms: Windows 2000/XP and Sun Solaris.
XML/SOAP-based Northbound interface, and the
view-based network management function for
wholesale purpose will also be supported in the near
future (Availability: April 2006).
IES-5000
6.5U Next-Generation Multi-service IP
6.5U in height, the IES-5000 is the next-generation IP
DSLAM with Gigabit backplane which supports up
to 8 slots for any combination of supported 48-port
SHDSL/SHDSL.bis, ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ line cards
and 24-port VDSL2 line cards. The VDSL2 line card is
in PTM mode and will support ADSL2+ fall back in
the next version. Carrier-class redundancy is also
supported by the 2-slot MSC cards and 2 power
input modules. MSC cards provide sophisticated
layer 2 switching features as well as traffic
aggregation from xDSL users into four Gigabit
Ethernet uplink/subtending interfaces. The
maximum port capacity can be up to 384 ports.
IES-3000
4U IP DSLAM
10U in height, the IES-3000 modular IP DSLAM uses
the same MSC and line cards as the IES-2000. Each
IES-3000 provides two slide-in slots for MSC cards
and 14 additional slots for any combination of
supported DSL line cards. The two MSC cards provide
switchover function when one failed. The system
supports up to 360 ports with one MSC card and all
the line cards installed.
